Introduction of Xylometazoline

Xylometazoline is an effective local nasal vasoconstrictor that acts directly on the nasal mucosal alpha-adrenergic receptors, producing vasoconstriction, which reduces blood flow and nasal congestion. It has quick action, fast ventilation, long lasting effect, and few side effects. The possibility of causing reactive hyperemia is small. Xylometazoline reduces inflammation and edema caused by inflammation. It is clinically used to relieve nasal congestion symptoms caused by diseases such as acute and chronic rhinitis, sinusitis, allergic rhinitis and hypertrophic rhinitis. It has the characteristics of fast speed, long-lasting effect and small side effects.
Xylometazoline has the effect of directly stimulating the α1 receptor and causing vasoconstriction, thereby reducing inflammation-induced hyperemia and edema, and is clinically used to alleviate nasal congestion symptoms caused by diseases such as acute and chronic rhinitis, sinusitis, allergic rhinitis, and hypertrophic rhinitis.
